Simulation game

Die Teilnehmenden in „die Haut“ von Politikerinnen und Politikern schlüpfen lassen

In simulation games, participants take on a role—e.g., that of a politician—and act out a decision-making process. This allows them to combine a single point of view with the experience of a complex structure and to try out confrontation and cooperation under the protection of a role. Because participants are directly involved in the action process, the learning effect is particularly intense and motivating. Personal experience and active participation ensure that what has been learned is particularly well remembered.

  • Arouse lasting interest in politics through an exciting gaming experience,
develop and strengthen a democratic attitude.
  • Impart knowledge about political structures, processes, and issues.

  • Build social skills such as empathy, teamwork, self-confidence, and the courage to take initiative.
  • Clear scenarios and concise materials. So that participants can quickly identify with their role and task.
  • Structured processes, so that participants can find their way around even complex decision-making processes.
  • Detailed evaluations. So that participants can reflect on their experiences, compare them with reality, and classify them for further observation.
