About us

Our driving force

Democracy needs people who can act as a result of being well informed, and do so in a conscious and responsible manner. We impart knowledge, attitude, and the ability to make decisions and take action.

What we do

Our methods and activities encourage the articulation of diverse perspectives and create space to vividly experience and reflect on politics and social relationships.

Thinking about the future

With the series “Good Life 2050” for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, we visit many places in Germany and work with the people there to develop ideas for the future.

Internationalization

Polyspektiv is on the move. For GIZ in Albania, Kosovo, and Tunisia. On behalf of the German Foreign Office at the Parliament in Myanmar. For the Goethe-Institut across South America. And for the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Lebanon.

Birth of polyspektiv

After 10 years, we are treating ourselves to a new name: x3 is becoming polyspektiv. Methodologically, we are adding escape rooms to our political education repertoire.

Networking

We are networking with exciting partner organizations in France. On behalf of the European Parliament, we are developing the concept for the network of “European Parliament Ambassador Schools.”

Grow and flourish

With the European Parliament’s multi-year “Youth Forums” event series, x3 wins its first six-figure contract. Consulting for the Greenlandic Parliament. Leonie joins us and later becomes our first permanent employee.

GbR

Establishment of a civil law partnership.

Public image

A joint public image is being created under the name “x3 – Political Education and Intercultural Dialogue.” The JugendForumJeunesse is the first cross-border project.

Youth and Parliament

Frank Burgdörfer and Heidi Ness have also been commissioned by the German Bundestag to redesign its 20-year-old major event “Youth and Parliament”; it will be given a new approach as a large-scale simulation game.

First project

After going their separate ways for a while, Heidi Ness and Frank Burgdörfer meet up again in Berlin and decide to work together to develop a simulation game for the German Bundestag.

Idea

In an office on Munich’s Prinzregentenstraße, the idea is born as a joke to start their own political education agency in order to escape the administrative procedures of the university.
