Athens reloaded

polyspektiv supported the ProCredit Academy in optimising “Athens Reloaded”. The participating bank managers get confronted with the social frictions of the ancient Athenian society, the institutional system of a council (with members chosen by lot) and a general assembly of all free citizens. They have to negotiate solutions which find a majority. Also ostracism, the possibilty to send a player into exile, is part of the game. The aim of this 2 day exercise is is to explore the very basics of democratic decisions-making.
